We’re just over a month into the new year and we’ve hit our first milestone – first completed project of 2013!
Daily life in Haiti has been impacted by years of political instability and natural disasters – hurricanes in 2008, a devastating earthquake in 2010 and the added impacts of a cholera outbreak through 2011. Facing these many hardships while historically being the poorest country in the Americas has lead to a great need for basic services like water, sanitation & hygiene resources.
In 2011, we began the 5th phase of an ongoing project with the Water & Wells Division of Hôpital Albert Schweitzer in Deschappelles, Haiti and Rotary Club of Ancaster, Ontario. Thanks to your generous support, this $92,000 project will help provide clean water & sanitation with the completion of 141 household latrines and 4 new wells!
Here’s a look at some of the important work you’ve made possible!
